GridSwitcher brings grid based faster app switching to iOS

GridSwitcher tweak 2

Are you one of those iOS users who totally hate the way iOS 7’s app switcher works? If yes then there’s a new tweak in Cydia that changes the multitasking screen of the operating system on all iOS 7 supported devices including iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

With GridSwitcher tweak you can have app previews in the form of a grid. The tweak presents the running apps in pages of 2×2 format on the iPhone and iPod touch while apps are displayed in 3×3 format on the iPad. This makes switching between apps much more quicker than usual since you don’t have to slide that much in order to get to the app you want to use.

This hack brings the app switcher that we saw on early iOS 7 concepts made by different artists but didn’t made it to the original OS to life.

GridSwitcher does not allow users to change the default 2×2 or 3×3 layouts yet but the developer has hinted that this functionality might be added in the upcoming updates.

You can get this tweak from Cydia for $1.50. It requires iOS 7 and fully supports all kinds of devices.
