iOS 10.1 With Portrait Mode for iPhone 7 Plus Released, Also Brings Improvements For All Devices

Apple has just released the iOS 10.1 software update for all models of iPhone, iPad and iPod touch and it is now available for download. The most notable feature of iOS 10.1 is the addition of portrait mode to iPhone 7 Plus’s camera app. With this feature users will be able to take stunning photos with blurred backgrounds, an effect that lets you take DSLR depth effect like photos using an iPhone. The Portrait mode is only available on iPhone 7 Plus.

For all other devices iOS 10.1 brings performance improvements and bug fixes. Apple has been beta testing iOS 10.1 with developers and public beta testers for several months. This release carries a build number of 14B72c that is same as the last beta, so if you are running the latest iOS 10.1 beta you don’t need to download the install it again. Another notable change iOS 10.1 brings is the fix for Bluetooth connectivity when connecting with third-party devices. It also adds a new option to replay iMessage effects.

You can download the iOS 10.1 update on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch through OTA by going to Settings > General > Software Update. You can also upgrade it through iTunes.
