Apple Launches AirTag To Help You Locate Physical Items with Find My App

Apple has announced the new AirTag device. The new item tracker integrates with Apple’s Find My app and allows users to find items they are attached to. AirTag is circular and small. It can be attached to small and large items such as keys, backpacks, handbags, luggage and more. Apple is also offering first-party AirTag accessories such as a keychain that makes it easy to attach it to items.

AirTags take advantage of Apple’s U1 chip, which is found on iPhone 11 or later. With AirTag’s Precision Finding technology taking advantage of iPhone’s U1 chip, users get precise distance from the item they are looking for. They can also play sounds on the AirTag’s built-in speaker to find out its location and locate the item they are searching for more easily.

AirTag is made up of polished stainless steel and is IP67 water and dust resistant. AirTags are customizable and allow users to add Emoji of their choice to give them a personal touch.

Pairing an AirTag with the iPhone is very easy. Just bring it closer to your iOS device and an AirPods pairing like popup will appear, letting you to easily pair with your device.

AirTags cost $29 each while Apple is also offering a discounted 4-pack of AirTags, which costs $99. AirTag will be available for purchase on April 30.
