Apple Launches iOS 10.2 For iPhone, iPad and iPod touch [IPSW Links]

Apple has released iOS 10.2 software update for all iOS 10 compatible devices and it is now available for download. The update that is available for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch brings a number of notable new features to the operating system along with several bug fixes and performance improvements. Most notable features of the incoming software update include TV app for US, Unicode 9.0 Emojis, new wallpapers for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, new effects for iMessage and more. There are many visible changes in this update. The new emojis that have been included in this update include new faces, animals, sports, food, professions etc. For the messages app in addition to over 100 new emojis, Apple has also added new ‘Celebration’ and ‘Love’ full screen effects that users can send to their iMessage friends. A new widget for the Video app has been added. iOS 10.2 brings the new bluetooth headphone icon for the status bar, which will indicate when a headphone is connected to the device wirelessly. For the Music app, Apple now lets users to swipe up on the Now Playing screen to easily access Shuffle, Repeat and Up Next buttons. In iOS 10.2 users will be able to see a new ‘Show Star Ratings’ option under the Music app settings. Shuffle and Repeat buttons have been redesigned.

The News App now includes a new Saved section that lists all the stories you have saved for later. You can now swipe left or right to read the next story while reading. The new US only TV app has also been included in this update that allows users to access their TV shows and movies across multiple video apps in a unified experience. The app also recommends new movies and TV shows in watch now.

You can download iOS 10.2 through OTA by opening Settings > General > Software Update. You can also connect it to iTunes and automatically download and upgrade to the latest iOS version.
