Apple has released iOS 15.0.2 and iPadOS 15.0.2 software update and it is now available for download on compatible devices. iOS 15.0.2 comes 10 days after the release of iOS 15.0.1.
Users who want to update their device to iOS 15.0.2 can head over to Settings -> General -> Software Update in order to download the update over-the-air.
iOS 15.0.2 is expected to bring bug fixes and performance improvements over the previous release.
The build number for today’s release is 19A404. The update brings a number of bug fixes including a bug fix that caused AirTag to not appear in Find My Items tab of Find My app. In addition to fixing the AirTag bug Apple has also fixed the issue that caused iPhone Leather wallet to not connect with Find My app.
iOS 15.0.2 brings a new feature to the Photos app, which will automatically delete photos saved to iPhone’s photos library from Messages after the user has deleted the associated thread or message, which makes user’s life convenient since they don’t have to manually delete such images anymore.
A CarPlay bug has been fixed in iOS 15.0.2 that caused it to fail to open audio apps or disconnected during playback.
Finally iOS 15.0.2 fixes the issue that caused device restore or update to fail on iPhone 13 models when using Finder or iTunes.
